General Overview of the TaxiTalk System

Taxi Taxi is a language learning aid designed to be presented on the internet using a Napster like distribution system linked to a more complete web page.

It is a short lesson of basic audio and text dialogue presented first in English and then in all other languages as they become available through a chain reaction like building process.

Audio translations of this dialogue in all languages are FREE at TaxiTalks.com

When a person visits the TaxiTalks.com site home page they will find a list of several hundred languages. This list is just a few of the more than 7000 spoken languages. Many of these languages will not have translations but whenever a language translation is sent in, it will be posted. Speakers of unusual languages should be sought out and helped to submit their language to the TaxiTalks dialogue.

People speaking a language which has few speakers have great difficulty in gaining entry into the greater world community because they can not find language lessons for their language even to common local languages. Thus they may be forced to learn a local trade language from a tradesman before they can even start to learn a non-local major foreign language. With the TaxiTalks program these isolated people can directly learn the basics of getting around in any language of the world. The first lesson is intended to help a person coming into a city learn the basics of survival in the city. Later the TaxiTalk technique can be applied to other language problems and to other material that needs a chain reaction type of paralleled distribution.

When you click a language a text dialogue of the spoken English dialogue will appear in the selected language with their language beside it. If the language is written in big type it means there is a complete spoken translation.

The first people to click on a given language will find that there is no translation but rather a request to submit a translation.

If a language you speak is not here in the -- Big type face -- please click this: Language Entry Form
