Taxi Taxi is a language translation aid designed to be presented on the internet using a Napster like distribution system with a search name as follows. ( ENGLISH to Arabic Chinese German Spanish not Pimsleur Berlitz )61 characters It is a half hour of very basic sound-dialogue presented in English. Translations of this dialogue to other languages are FREE at Proba.com [ A list of hundreds of languages. see below] When the person goes to the site Proba.com they will find a list of every language. There are over 1000 languages many of which will not have translations but that is OK because it will encourage the speakers of those unusual languages to submit a dialogue. People speaking languages with few speakers have great difficulty in finding language lessons for their language even to common local languages. Thus they are forced to learn a major local language before they can even start to learn a non-local foreign language. When you click a language a text dialogue of the spoken English dialogue will appear in the selected language with their language beside it. If their is a speaker symbol it means there is a spoken translation. The first people to click on a given language will find that there is no translation but rather a request to submit a translation. as follows: =================== ---This language does not yet have a translation of "Taxi Taxi"--- [Every possible language could be listed alphabetically in small type. When it was translated to text it could be made larger and when it was available in audio it could be made even bigger.] ---If you speak this language please submit a translation from the English text.--- Type in your translation to the right of each of the lines. For example: ENGLISH = YOUR LANGUAGE It is a nice day. = Es un dia buena.
